Services Rendered Since January 2000 Include:

  • Organized and maintained the Mechanical Integrity Program for Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Piping Systems, Check Valves, Pressure Relief Devices and miscellaneous other equipment for a major pulp and paper company in the Southeastern United States. Over 1,300 pieces of equipment were entered into the Mill’s Pressure Vessel and Tank (PV&T) database for inspection tracking and inspection history.

  • Scheduled all required inspections and hold points that were required by corporate guidelines and many other regulatory agencies.

  • Collaborated with a myriad of inspection companies and repair vendors to ensure that scheduled maintenance was performed as required by the scope of work furnished by the Mill’s Engineering Department and/or Planners.

  • Collaborated with inspection and welding vendors to guarantee that all inspections, testing, and welding met or exceeded job specifications, various code requirements and corporate guidelines.

  • Proofread and copy edited over 1,250 formal inspection reports (which exceeded 15,000 pages) annually for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and correctness prior to being accepted and entered in the PV&T database.

  • Proofread all Welding Procedure Specifications, Welding Procedure Qualification Records, Welder Performance Qualification Records and QC Manuals for vendors that provided welding services at the Pulp and Paper facility.

  • Conducted audits, inspections, vendor surveillance and shop surveys for current and prospective third-party service and product suppliers to the Mill.

  • Quality Control Manager for a Code Welding Repair organization overseeing all repairs and alterations at six Combined Cycle Power Generation facilities in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas.

  • Collaborated with the company President, the Authorized Inspection Agency and the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors during numerous Joint Reviews. These reviews, which were conducted every three years, allowed the welding repair organization to maintain their use of the National Board “R Stamp” and the required accreditation to remain an authorized “R Stamp” Repair Organization.
