Since 2000, CC&S has been a partner with two major Pulp and Paper Companies in the Southeastern US during the implementation and maintenance of their Mechanical Integrity Program (MIP) to oversee the safe operation of various Mill equipment. Examples of equipment covered by a MIP includes Unfired Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Secondary Containments, PSM Piping Systems and Pressure Relief Devices of all types. During the past 23 years, Larry has personally proofread (and in some cases performed copy editing) of approximately 1,250 inspection reports per year. The number of pages in each report ranged from 3 pages to 75 pages or more. Using a conservative average of twelve pages per report, the total number of pages reviewed and “proofed” annually exceeded 15,000 pages per year. Do the math: 15,000 pages per year x 23 years = 345,000 pages. Let’s go one step further! At an average of 250 words per page the numbers are 345,000 total pages x 250 words per page = 86,250,000 words (and that doesn’t count the many books that are also read each year). I think we can safely say that “Larry Crawford loves to read.”
